Research and Evaluation Instruments to Study Teacher Professional Learning

Here are two resources that the Research and Evaluation team used to gather information on the professional learning experiences the project provided for teacher leaders. We used the information to provide actionable feedback to the professional learning team and to study the impact of the professional learning experiences.

  • Interviews and Surveys (to understand the teacher leaders’ perception of professional learning experiences and the impact of those experiences)
  • Observation and Recording Tools (to identify the intended learning outcomes of professional learning experiences and the observed impacts of the experiences; to provide suggestions to the professional learning facilitators and models for the logistical set-up of recording tools)

These instruments are examples for others researching or evaluating the impact of an argumentation-focused professional learning program.
